Hythe Medical Centre Move

Hythe Medical Centre Move

We are thrilled to share some long-awaited news with you - we have officially signed the lease to move from our current portacabin site into a brand-new, purpose-built GP practice at the Hythe Centre.

It is an absolute privilege for all of us at The Hythe to care for this community. As a stable, dedicated workforce, we are deeply committed to serving you for decades to come, and this move represents a massive step forward in the quality of care we can provide.

What This Means for You

  • Modern, Accessible Facilities: The new building will provide state-of-the-art clinical spaces, specifically designed with accessibility in mind to comfortably accommodate patients with disabilities and other needs.
  • A Future Community Hub: Our vision extends beyond standard GP services. Over time, we plan to develop the practice into a comprehensive community hub, exploring partnerships with our local GP Federation, Community Providers, and the voluntary sector to bring more health and wellbeing services directly to you.

Shaping Our Future Together

We want this new space to be developed in true partnership with our patients. We will be collaborating closely with our Patient Participation Group (PPG) to shape these plans, and we warmly welcome your direct feedback and ideas on the services you would like to see.

Timeline and Next Steps

We anticipate the construction will take approximately 10 months. We are currently targeting a Summer 2027 move-in date.

During the build, there will be some slight disruption at our current site, primarily affecting the car park. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience as we work through this transition phase.

We will keep you regularly updated on our progress during these exciting times. Thank you for your continued support - we look forward to welcoming you into the new, improved Practice next summer.

We also wanted to confirm this move will have no bearing on our clinic rooms at Staines Health Centre and we will continue to operate there as normal.

Warm regards,

The Partners and Team at The Hythe Medical Centre, and the Hythe Medical Centre PPG
